Sandra and Nigel purchased Davrac Nursery/Garden Centre in 2003 changing it to fully retail in 2007.

As a nursery as well as Garden Centre we try to grow as much stock as we can squeeze in, with the extensive range of products offered space is always at a premium.

​

In a usual year we grow a range of vegetable plants, swan plants, tomatoes, primula, perennials, strawberries as well as shrubs, grasses and growing on natives and trees. This is becoming even more important as the number of wholesale growers has decreased over time and availability is not what it once was.

The nursery holds a large range of trees, shrubs, roses, water plants, veges etc. As well as a good selection of pots (many unique to The Garden Centre as imported by us).

We are fortunate to have several large buildings on site which allows us to store Peastraw etc. in a dry environment.

​

With us growing product locally (on site) and our outside display areas being uncovered you can be assured that out plants are hardy and suited to local conditions.

We are agents for Winter Gardenz Greenhouses and Glasshouses and also offer an assembly service. Nigel being one of the most experienced assemblers in New Zealand allows him to design a solution for virtually any area and situation.

Although we are not landscape designers as such Nigel and Shelly have over 60 years of experience between them and extensive local knowledge allowing us to assist with your Garden Designs and requirements.
